Q. Why do I need a property management company? Can’t I do it myself?

A. Being a private landlord can be time-consuming, inconvenient and stressful. You’ll need to navigate local legislation, carry out compulsory checks, draw up paperwork, create inventories, settle in new tenants and then be on call 24/7 to deal with any issues. A property management company will step into your shoes and look after all of that for you. For some, it’s a no-brainer.

Q. Won’t my tenants prefer to deal with me directly?

A. Actually, most tenants like to live in properties that are professionally managed. They know that any problems will be resolved quickly and efficiently; and they often feel more comfortable reporting issues to third party rather than entering into an uncomfortable discussion with the landlord in person. More than 92% of tenants in managed properties renew for a further term, so we must be doing something right!

Q. It sounds like an expensive option. How much will it cost?

A. Not as much as you might think. Because we are a small, local agency without any expensive high street overheads, we are able to keep our fees extremely competitive. Q. I use a different company for lettings. Can I still use you for property management?
